Mission

To unite founders, investors, and innovators across the East Bay and beyond—creating a collaborative community that provides access to capital, talent, mentorship, and customers. SVEBF empowers founders to learn, build, and scale world-class ventures that thrive locally and compete globally.

Vision

To establish the East Bay—from Walnut Creek and San Ramon to Pleasanton, Livermore, and Tracy—as a globally recognized hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. A community where Fortune 100 companies, scale-ups, and startups connect to share insights, unlock talent, access capital, and build global opportunities—transforming the East Bay into Silicon Valley’s next frontier for technology and growth.

Objectives

Part I: Strategic – Build the Foundation for an Innovation Ecosystem

  1. Forge Local Public-Private Partnerships — Collaborate with city governments, chambers of commerce, and universities to create policies and initiatives supporting entrepreneurship.
  2. Engage Local Enterprises — Partner with East Bay–based corporations, startups, and service providers to share knowledge, infrastructure, and opportunities.
  3. Establish a Sustainable Governance Model — Form working groups and advisory councils that include founders, investors, civic leaders, and corporate sponsors to guide SVEBF’s long-term growth.

Part II: Growth – Empower Founders and Enable Access

  1. Access to Capital & Mentorship — Create structured programs connecting founders with angels, venture capitalists, accelerators, and seasoned entrepreneurs.
  2. Access to Talent — Build bridges with universities, research labs, and corporations to channel local and global talent into East Bay startups.
  3. Access to Customers — Develop programs for founders to engage with Fortune 100 enterprises, scale-ups, and global customers through showcase events and pilot opportunities.

Part III: Tactical – Activate, Educate & Expand

  1. Founder Learning & Events — Organize monthly meetups, panels, and hands-on AI and startup demo nights that foster practical learning and collaboration.
  2. Community Collaboration — Encourage peer-to-peer support, co-working partnerships, and mentorship circles to create a strong, connected network.
  3. Local Innovation Hub — Launch initiatives to position the East Bay as an innovation hub, attracting investors, partners, and media visibility.
